Ms. Wang’s professional expertise stems from her broad range of practical experience spanning over 14 years.  Her portfolio includes new construction, adaptive reuse and historic preservation for commercial, institutional and residential clients.  Ms. Wang has served as the Principal Designer for numerous projects including the renovation of Humphreys Hall on Cheyney University’s historic quadrangle, the tenant fit-out for the Clinical Skills Evaluation Collaboration, and the renovation of Wayne Junction Station.
 
Ms. Wang has led projects ranging from state-of-the-art academic facilities to the restoration of a late 19th century station house.  Her management skills result in successful projects by creating clear lines of communication and collaboration between designers, clients, engineers, end users, and regulatory entities.
 
Ms. Wang’s practical knowledge in sensitive interventions to existing structures, as well as new construction in a historic context, is attuned to the evolving requirements of today’s occupants.  Her designs adhere to the guidelines of the preservation community and building codes while recognizing the importance of evolving environmental and cultural concerns.
 
Ms. Wang’s commitment to youth and education is exemplified in her work as: advisor to a local elementary school, guest lecturer for the University of Pennsylvania preservation studio in Shanghai, and architectural juror for various local Universities.
 
Subsequent to obtaining a Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University, Ms. Wang worked for several architecture firms, including an award winning firm in New York City, and participated in advanced education seminars in Europe and Asia.  She further developed her specialization by completing a graduate degree in Historic Preservation at the University of Pennsylvania where she was the inaugural recipient of the David De Long Fellowship.
 
Ms. Wang is building on the extensive and diverse experience of UCI Architects, Inc. to lead the firm to a higher plateau of architecture practice with quality work, technical competence, and design excellence.
