The Borough of Millbourne, located in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, is 0.1 square miles and has a population of under 1,000. The goal of this study was to provide the Borough with a tool to generate interest in the redevelopment of 6501 Market Street, an underutilized car dealership building, by illustrating its potential and limitations. Our Firm held multiple community meetings to brainstorm possible uses for the building, provided market study research, cost estimates and three conceptual designs. The designs incorporated ideas and concerns expressed by the community as well as different degrees of intervention with the existing building from complete rehabilitation to demolition and new construction. The Borough will use this study to solicit interest from developers for this site.
