The Home for the Brave for The Volunteers of America Delaware Valley will provide shelter for homeless veterans as they transition back into the community. Located in Camden, New Jersey, the 6,000 sq.ft addition will connect to an existing 30,000 sq.ft shelter that was converted from a warehouse. The addition will provide temporary housing for 30 veterans in a semi-private dormitory setting. Amenities include food service, computer rooms, laundry facilities and administrative offices. Updates in the existing building include the complete renovation of the commercial kitchen to service multiple VOA facilities in the neighborhood and expansion of health care service. Site features include outdoor pavilions, grassy and shady retreats, and half court basketball.
