Mount Carmel Baptist Church consists of several buildings constructed throughout the 20th century. The congregation engaged UCI Architects to produce a master plan for the church campus that involved the reorganization and improvement of existing spaces, planning for an education wing addition, and unifying the exterior materials. UCI Architects designed a prominent entrance that leads from the street to the two main levels of the facility. A new elevator in the entry allows barrier-free access to the complex for the first time. The existing metal and glass façade of this building was removed and replaced with stone and brick masonry and tall windows to harmonize with the façade of the adjacent sanctuary.
